Meet the Founder, Lisa Dempsey

Lisa knows makeup. And you might know her for her creative versatility and ability to move fluidly between commercial beauty and creative makeup. Her work featured on Beyonce’s "BLACK IS KING" and the recreation of "Weird Barbie" with Kate McKinnon for the OSCARS showcases just that. A huge believer in the transformative power of makeup, her expertise lies in drawing out the natural beauty of her clients. Her talent for creating glamorous looks and glowing skin is always at the forefront of her work. When people sit in her chair, at the end they always ask "how did you do that?" Well, Beauty School Dropout Club finally answers that question. Beauty School Dropout Club combines educational makeup tutorials accessible to everyone, anywhere in the world, while also providing specialized business resources for makeup artists at all stages of their careers. Lisa is a community-focused artist who saw a need for support and connection among makeup artists. Recognizing the gap, she decided to take action and create a space for artists to grow, learn, and connect.
